Are Sleepwell mattresses made in Winnipeg?
Yes. Sleepwell Bedding has been making mattresses locally in Winnipeg since 1992. You can shop online or visit our factory-direct showroom at 1570 St. James St. to compare available models.
What mattress types and sizes do you offer?
We offer innerspring, pocket-coil and foam mattresses in common sizes including Twin, Twin XL, Double, Queen and King, although available sizes vary by model. We also offer RV, truck, hide-a-bed, crib, vinyl-covered and custom-size mattresses for specialized needs.
How do I choose the right mattress firmness?

Can I try mattresses before buying?

What does factory-direct mean?
Factory-direct means you are purchasing directly from the local company that makes and supports the mattress. This provides clear product information, local service and direct after-purchase support.
Can couples choose different comfort levels on each side?
Yes. Dual-comfort mattresses and toppers may be available for couples who prefer a different feel on each side. Available combinations depend on the mattress size, materials and construction.
Custom Mattresses
Do you make custom-size and custom-shape mattresses?
Yes. We make custom mattresses in Winnipeg for antique beds, built-in beds, RVs, truck sleepers, special platforms and other non-standard spaces. Options may include extra-long, extra-short, narrow, wide and 3/4 sizes, along with rounded corners, angled cuts and curved edges.
What information is needed for a custom mattress quote?
Please provide the required width, length and thickness in inches, along with the intended use, quantity and preferred comfort. Include details about rounded corners, angled cuts or other unusual shapes. A photo, drawing or measurement template is helpful for non-standard spaces.
How much does a custom mattress cost?

How long does a custom mattress take to make?
Custom mattresses are typically ready within 3–7 business days. Special shapes, unusual sizes, material availability and the current production schedule may affect completion time. Production time and delivery scheduling are separate.
How do I order a custom mattress?

How do I place an order?
You can order standard mattresses and sleep products online, visit our Winnipeg showroom or place your order by phone at 204-786-2225. For a custom size or special-shape mattress, start by completing our Custom Mattress Quote form.
Do you offer mattress financing or installment plans?
Yes. Eligible customers may see Shop Pay Installments as an option at online checkout. For in-store purchases, financing is available through Fairstone, subject to credit approval and the provider’s terms. Available plans, rates and payment amounts may vary, so please ask our team about the current options.
Are all mattresses available immediately?
Most of our popular mattress models and standard sizes are kept in stock. Availability can change depending on the model, size and current demand. If a mattress needs to be made, it is usually ready within 3–7 business days. Please call 204-786-2225 if you need pickup or delivery by a specific date.
Can I pick up my order from your Winnipeg showroom?

Can I cancel my order before pickup or delivery?
Standard-size products that are not custom or made to order may be cancelled before pickup or delivery. Custom-size, custom-shape, personalized, special-order and other made-to-order products are final once the order is placed and cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged. Please contact us as soon as possible with your order information if you need assistance.
Delivery, Setup & Old-Item Pickup
What are the Winnipeg mattress delivery options and prices?
Saturday delivery within Winnipeg costs $65 and takes place between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Once your mattress is on the way, we will call with an estimated one-hour arrival window. Weekday delivery costs $85 and allows you to request a preferred two-hour window, subject to availability and confirmation.
What is included with mattress delivery?
Standard Winnipeg delivery includes bringing your mattress to the room of your choice. At your request, we can remove the protective packaging and place the mattress on an already assembled bed frame, platform bed or box spring.
Can you pick up my old mattress?
Yes, when arranged with the delivery of your new mattress. Pickup costs $35 for the first eligible item and $20 for each additional item. We accept mattresses, box springs and metal bed frames only. Pickup must be requested before delivery and is not available as a separate service.
Is bed-frame assembly included with delivery?
Assembly is not included in the standard delivery fee. It may be available for an additional charge depending on the bed type, complexity and work required. Assembly must be requested before delivery so we can confirm availability and pricing.
Do you deliver mattresses outside Winnipeg?
Delivery may be available to nearby Manitoba communities. Some out-of-province orders may also qualify for case-by-case freight shipping. Contact us before ordering with your address, postal code, mattress model, size and quantity so we can confirm availability and provide a quote.
How should I prepare for mattress delivery?
Clear entrances, hallways, stairs and the selected room before delivery. Remove bedding and personal items, and assemble the bed frame or support system in advance. Tell us about narrow stairs, elevators, restricted parking or other access concerns, and make sure an adult is available to provide access.
Comfort Adjustment, Warranty & Returns
What should I do if my new mattress feels too firm or too soft?
Please sleep on your mattress for at least two weeks to allow your body and the mattress materials time to adjust. Eligible mattresses purchased directly from Sleepwell Bedding may qualify for one complimentary comfort adjustment when the request is made within 30 days of delivery or pickup.
Which mattresses qualify for a comfort adjustment?
Eligible models include Sleepwell innerspring and pocket-coil mattresses, Brooklyn Standard and Brooklyn Luxe. The mattress must have been purchased directly from Sleepwell Bedding by the original purchaser and must be clean, dry, stain-free, odour-free and sanitary. Proof of purchase is required.
Is a comfort adjustment a return or exchange?
No. A comfort adjustment modifies the original eligible mattress to create a firmer or softer feel. It is not a return, exchange, refund or replacement mattress. Available adjustments depend on the mattress model, materials and construction.
Can mattresses or box springs be returned?
Mattresses, box springs, custom-size products, special shapes, dual-comfort mattresses and other made-to-order products are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. This does not affect approved warranty claims, eligible comfort adjustments or rights available under applicable law.
Can unopened accessories be returned?
Eligible unopened and unused accessories may be returned or exchanged within 14 calendar days of purchase with the original receipt. Products must remain in resalable condition with their original packaging, parts, hardware and instructions. Some exclusions apply.
What warranty comes with a Sleepwell mattress?
Sleepwell-made mattresses may include a 1, 3, 5 or 10-year limited prorated warranty covering eligible manufacturing and structural defects. The warranty period that applies is shown on the product page, receipt, invoice or written warranty supplied with the mattress.
How do I start a mattress warranty claim?
Contact us before bringing your mattress to our Winnipeg facility. Please provide your receipt or order number, mattress model and size, purchase date, a description of the concern and clear photos of the mattress, affected area, mattress label and support system. Inspections and repairs must be scheduled in advance.
Do I need a box spring or other mattress support?
Not every mattress requires a box spring. Use a supportive box spring, flat, rigid platform, properly assembled platform bed or sturdy slatted base with gaps no wider than approximately three inches. A compatible adjustable base may also be used when the mattress is approved for adjustable use. Queen and king beds need suitable centre support extending to the floor.
